Watercolor Paintings Acrylic Paintings Collage Paintings

Yes, I work in several media with regards to paintings. The works above are watercolor on paper, designed from sketches done on location. The subjects vary but landscape theme is a favorite. The subjects are varied (from landscape, to still life, from miles out to close in, from abstract still lives to patterned "scapes") but design and movement are the anchor and energy in each piece. The letters after my signature attest to my expertise after years of hard work. I've achieved signature status with CWA, WW and RMNW, all nationally recognized art organizations in the USA. Currently I'm also a member of the Rental Sales Gallery at the Portland Art Museum in Oregon where my work is rented and sold (rentalsales@pam.org).

Linoleum Reduction Prints

Les Arts Workshop has a variety of animal portraits created in the age old printing process of relief reduction printing, each layer a different color, all created manually from the cuts to the final print. I have been making prints for over 50 years and feel that the reduction print holds a special emotional value due to the strength of the shapes I design, the textures that energize, and the colors that communicate. The emotional temperament is specific to each animal portrayed, in preparation for the final print. Many of the editions have several states (slight color variations) and are unique as well. Each print is an original, signed, numbered, and dated. Collectors love this!

Leslie's prints:

To the right you see examples of my series of linoleum reduction prints of animals, created in small editions. Each printed area is about 9" square on a rag paper measuring approximately 13 X 10", with slight variations. They create a nice grouping either horizontally, vertically, or just individually.

Bio

Ms. Cheney-Parr was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. She has a love of the out-of-doors and her growing up experiences introduced her to sailing, camping and hiking all recorded in her sketch books. She studied art at the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with a BA in fine art painting and an MA in studio practice. She taught adults and community college for over 30 years, teaching in California and then Oregon before retiring to paint full time.
